Interior Design for a Restaurant in Toronto

Located in the heart of Toronto’s financial district, AZUL is a culinary paradise where tradition and innovation strike a balance between architecture and gastronomy. Inspired by the Mesoamerican agricultural practices of the milpa, the project pays homage to Mexico’s rich culture through natural materials and authentic craftsmanship.

The design combines textures and colors that evoke warmth and craftsmanship: from the handmade terracotta tiles that adorn the facade to the metal arches that reinterpret Yucatán’s architectural heritage.

The essence of the space lies in its intense shades of blue, a nod to the restaurant’s identity and the vibrant energy of Mexico City’s street markets, which infuse the place with dynamism, life, and its own unique personality.
